The Princess Bride (WIP)

"Buttercup was raised on a small farm in the country of Florin. Her favorite past-times were riding her horse and tormenting the farm boy that worked there. His name was Westley. But she never called him that. Isn't that a wonderful beginning?"
So begins The Princess Bride a modern, tongue-in-cheek spin on the traditional fairy tale. Directed by Rob Reiner (This Is Spinal Tap), the screenplay is written by William Goldman (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid) and is allegedly based on the book by S. Morgenstern (the debate rages on as to whether Morgenstern is real, or merely a product of Goldman's fertile imagination...). It begins with a grandfather (Peter Falk- TV's Columbo) (also known as the Narrator) reading the story to his grandson (Fred Savage- TV's The Wonder Years), who is sick in bed.
