is to walk away and let everyone cool down. I walk out of the house, and stay out for as long as I think it needs.
Obviously I am quite lucky and (touch wood) it is as safe for me to walk out at 2am as it is 2pm.
I always take a coat and my little hip flask for a little snifter of something.
