Interesting to see on your survey results that 'Plenty. I'm a Scout' is getting so many hits (including me!) Does this imply that more Scouts read the view than anybody else? Is this a good thing or bad?

I think both Scouts and Sub-Editors have a greater emotional investment in the editing process than your average researcher. Your average researcher might or might not have an entry in Peer Review at any time. Even if they do, it might be weeks before they hear anything additional about its progress.
Scouts and Sub-Editors, meanwhile, are expected to contribute weekly (or at least regularly). So they are reminded to care more often, I think. Also, many of h2g2's most active members tend to be in the volunteer scheme somewhere. Those sorts of active people are also likely to read my column, which also helps to spike the numbers.
Is it a good or a bad thing? I dunno. I think of it as simply something to keep in mind. That's why I included the question on my survey, and why I'll mention this when I report my results.
If h2g2 wants a similar survey aimed at the average researcher, I would recommend putting it on their main page!

All valid, of course. As long as it doesn't descend to navel-gazing, I do think it's a good think that the Scouts check out the View: it implies that they care how they are perceived!

The new ad banner is quite a good thing ("On h2g2, /you/ decide what goes into the Guide..."), but still doesn't give a stimulus to go Peer reviewing. Does anyone know whom I could contact on that?

I do like the idea that Peer Review is fun
Banner adverts are Business Feedback, but as this is an 'internal' advert then Editorial Feedback might be the place for you...try the Feedback button on the top bar - the categories are specified quite clearly - Fragilis might have a better idea, but hope that helps!

Actually, I would suggest the Design Feedback section. It is primarily for issues related to the staffers' design of the site. Since the graphic and the Peer Review page are part of that, I'd go there first.
Business Feedback tends to center around money issues, while Editorial Feedback tends to center on issues with Edited Entries.

Hehe, I just found out that clicking on this banner will beam you up right there: to the Peer Review!
