Actually writing a blank cheque may save you more money than a filled out cheque; because, of course, the bank will only honour a cheque if there are sufficient available funds. So, empty your bank account and start issuing those wonderful life-affirming cheques. (Make sure you don't stick your cheque guarantee number on the back!).
