Marriage And The Bible

Yesterday I was browsing through my Bible searching for verses pertaining to marrage as I am looking into getting married soon. I happend upon 1 Corinthians 7, a rather interesting entry here.
Verses 1&2 state "It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband."
V9: But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
Last bit of verse 10&11: Let not the wife depart from her husband: But if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
So really Marrage is to prevent the world from becoming a big orgy and provide for a stable relationship?
In Matthew and the other ST.s there is a verse that goes, For the resurrected they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Which really puts a damper on the "I will love you forever and ever" you may love each other but at death you are freed from the marriage to be with God.
(LATER) I think differently now. People who are married become one soul and when the resurection comes, they go at the same time as one and are therefore finally truly togeather. It may be disproven, but it is nice to think that the one you love will be a part of you forever(WE NOW RETURN TO MY EARLYER THOUGHTS)
I dont know it is all very confusing, Oh well at least I can sleep better knowing that!
I was also thinking along the lines of How exactly do people do this thing. It is something I never really thought of before, but there is a lot of preperation for a marriage. First the perposal, a ring, and then you are engaged, meeting the family getting aquainted with friends etc. Then you have to make out all the plans for afterwards and on and on... well I am just overwhelmed right now with all these thoughts, but one thing I have going for me is my consistancy I am very level headed and do only one thing at a time, or as much as I can handle, so hopefully this dosnt all blow up before me!
