Typical that really.
I spend an hour or two developing a code that stops everybody but me and Shazz and the peeps in the Towers from seeing the new Post. Then, while doing some adjustments I disable part of it, and forget to put it back in.
And you folks pop in and spoil the surprise of the new look

Nope - it didn't.
Besides, we can still read all the articles by going here:

BB!! I bet you are the kind of person who rattles and feels ALL his Christmas presents weeks before the actual event!

Me? No. I don't think about Christmas or go Christmas shopping until December 22nd - and everyone always forgets my birthday.

Brilliant - It has always been in my mind that the Towers and Researchers work closer together to produce the Post and I couldn't ask for more.
Thanks Mark and all at the Towers who made it become a reality.
Pastey and Shazz Thaaaankoooo
Just Brilliant

Well, I have read all the actual articles so far....
But don't worry - I'll read the intro page and the editorial comment too.

The introduction of 1.3 messed up my coding. What do you all think to the idea of us putting a sort of lock onto the articles and the Post so that it's all published at the same time?

Yeah, it'd probably a good idea. What you really need is some sort of batch submission system - so you could sumbit all the code at the same time. But I can't think of a good way of implementing it right now... the problem would be the links. Unless you 'reserved' Anumbers, which you planned to put each page on. It would take quite a bit of organising...

It is possible, I've played around and proved it was at least in earlier Ripleys, to do batch submissions, grabbing the A#s designated to them to fill in the blanks. Bit complex though when a small bit of code just blocks out users.

I would agree with the idea of putting a lock on the articles too - except in cases where someone, such as me, would like to be notified of all conversations on post articles that he submitted, which to do would involve seeing it before anyone else.
Or just checking to see that the post article submitted works okay, giving everyone time to correct any mistakes before seen by anyone else.
