You can't possibly, really, really think that all human behaviour can be reduced to "how we acted back when we were cave-men" can you? I'm going to be really egotistical here and suggest that maybe, depending on which culture we're talking about here, that "the biggest part of the hunted animals" went to the men, according to rank. Show me one piece of evidence, one respected archeological researcher who says that women manipulated men into getting more meat. Your evaluation of what men and women are "good" at being is written as if you are being fair, but is infact not fair. the men are "good" at being all the qualities that are respected and elevated in Western Culture, and the women are "good" at all the negative (contrasted to the positive men) qualities that are frowned upon Western Culture, and the sneaky manipulative way you present women reminds me of the way we used to represent "Eastern" culture, like, Kipling, etc. Now if I had read this before I read your comments in "My brief encounter with LeKZ" http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F55998?thread=128469&latest=1 I would have thought this a parody of such comments which are made in books such as "Why Men Don't Listen And Women Can't Read Maps" By Mr and Mrs Pease (Damnit I can't remember their first names). But at least THEY had some apparent evidence for their claims, and also wrote about positives and negatives for both sexes, where your "thoughts" are all in the negative for women. No... ranting at you hasn't worked... I'm still angry...

Sorry, but the system didn't notify me of your post, so it's only by chance that I now stumble across your opinion.

I don't reduce anything. I try to expand the view on humans to include or heritage. And you won't deny that most of the social interaction is controlled by our unconscious mind, our fear, rage envy, jealouscy, love and hate?

Well, the dad of my wife keeps telling me how it was about 60-100 years ago: the normal working class man took the weekly money he earned from his job to his wife, who was the one to spend it. We don't even have to go back in time so far to witness the women domination over resources. Another example are chimps, where the femals decide upon food. Don't confuse that with lions, it's entierly different with them.

It is not a question of fairness, but of survival. My entry explicitly states that women are good in raising children and, seen from this side, are good in a evolutional sense. I am not a fan of western culture and its values, but I don't approve of the bashing of men as useless and mindless creatures either.

I see it happening every day: men are treated as mindless idiots by women. That is the big lie (the treatment and the veil of the treatment) of modern times.
