Are there any community artists now? I thought that group had quietly melted away.

There are. We're an endangered species, but hanging in there... I'd say there are about three of us who currently illustrate Entries, and about two more helping with the smileys.

It all seems clear and uncontroversial, and I think it probably reads a bit more clearly than the current page.

One point - while you have broken "The Post" and "Clubs and Societies" into two sections, part of the technical specs for "The Post" seem more suited to the Clubs and Societes section (namely "If a membership badge is required for clubs...etc")

The only other thing - I would be inclined to leave out the bit about FTP no longer being required, and just mention what *is* required, if you follow me. Just seems more clear-cut to me.

I see what you mean, but that's kind of why I was thinking of not even mentioning it just to avoid the confusion.

Maybe it's best to just find an alternative way to put it?

If you'd rather keep it as it is, it should do fine. I don't think it's confusing as you have it.

Well what I really meant was I wouldn't start listing what *isn't* required, just what is. But if you *must*, then you've done it in a relatively unconfusing way.

I think you should leave out the bit about possible incentives in the future.

I'll ask the Eds - but it does indeed seem unlikely that they'll manifest, since they haven't so far.

After a bit of consideration, I've decided to leave the bit about no longer needing ftp in - reading the threads, that bit seems to have scared a fair few people off, so it's probably best to explicitly mention that it's not necessary to use it.

That's fair enough. My thinking on it was that those people have been scared off already, and if FTP is so frightening for some people - and not even necessary - I wouldn't even mention it for the benefit of the new readers.

I'll leave it for comments on other matters now.

That wasn't really what I had in mind - usually the Eds remove the entries once the updates are done.

As you like - I doubt the other updates will force many changes in this. I just didn't want redundant or conflicting information...
