The h2g2 Poem

The Humble Brew

The British really like their tea,

We drink it all the time.

Each person has their recipe

To make it taste divine.

Some insist on sugar,

Others go without.

Sometimes from a teapot

With a shapely spout.

The milk goes in beforehand,

Or after if you like,

Let it stew a minute...

Or longer as some like.

Some drink their tea

With scones and cream.

Others prefer some buttered toast

To pass away the time.

But whether you like sugar,

Or put the milk in first,

You can relax in the knowledge

You could have made it worse.
