I notice in the refresh we are going to say "Approved Articles"
so instead of saying we have 10,000 articles in the EG
will that be 10,000 articles in the AG?

today is 2 January. Anyday now, hopefully, an italic will spot this and comment on it.

You were quite correct to notice that 'Edited' and 'Approved' begin with different letters, so well done, you.

The H2G2 Editors

We thought this would come up at some point.

We're looking at retiring the phrase 'Edited Guide'. Basically you will effectively be contributing to H2G2 the site instead of the Edited Guide as a concept. So we will say we have 10,000 Approved Entries on H2G2. With H2G2 being 'the guide to life, the universe and everything, written by you'. It's really just a change in terminology rather than philosophy, but obviously will take some getting used to.

It is something that came up a lot when we were looking at ways of slightly simplifying things for new users. You're obviously free to keep referring to it as the Edited Guide if you want to, but formally we - the Editors - won't be using that phrase onsite after the relaunch. Hope that clears things up. smiley - ok
