Printing problems

Hi Þere,
I'm a fairly newbie running RedHat7.3 on a dual-boot.
This installed remarkably easily from a CD image downloaded from RedHat. I have got loads of things working, including things I didn't expect to work like the digital camera, but I am stuck on the printer.
I have an HP OfficeJet 635 All-In-One (which I am going to ditch soon, but that's another story). I have downloaded and installed the HP drivers for this, and the connection works ok - I can get the panel display showing on-screen, and I can even scan, but I can't actually print.
I have tried setting the printer up on LPD and go nowhere. On CUPS I can get the printer apparently installed, and even print a few things, such as an image exported to a PDF, but for most things when I send the stuff to the printer the CUPS print manager just says 'processing...' and never prints anything.
I've looked around for solutions, but I start to get lost in foomatics and back-ends and filters and so on.
I am sure I will sort this out eventually, but for now I am banging my head against the wall. I just thought there might be someone out there who would recognize the problem and say 'Oh yes, all you need to do is reset the toggle on your clunge modulator' or whatever.
Þanks in advance

Printing problems (over)

I've solved the printer problem , thanks to patient (and free) assistance from someone at Redhat who knew what they were doing. I seem to have created the problem myself by installing an incompatible version of some of the software . Fixing the problem took minutes - all I had to do was re-install the original software.
Chocks away !

p.s. I've also worked out how to get Þ on the keyboard
