A Conversation for Talking Point: Teenage Sex
Some Thoughts

Teenage sexuality is one of those issues that has been around since the dawn of time. It is just that at this moment it, as an issue, has come to a head.
What needs to be done? Teenagers need to be granted access to information. They need to be taught to use common sense in relation to issues relating to sexuality. The entire age of concent situation needs to be re-thought (Why? Well if you make it illeagal for teenagers to have sex when they are reaching sexual maturity your laws are never going to be totally effective are they).
Education about sex needs to be inforced, taking away any teenage questions, preferably in group forums led by someone educated in the area, as teachers and parents may not be the best qualified mentors in regard to this topic.
What has to be realised is that teens will go on having sex, even if there is legislation against it, what needs to be encouraged is a society that is more acceptive of teens and their sexuality.
