The Next Internet
Created | Updated Jan 28, 2002
I guess I had better go into it in more detail. Well have we go. The Net (internet) as we know it is realatively limited. It is as far as programming is concerned in today's standards very primitive. Html is a very primitive programming language. It severly limits what we are capable of doing on the web.
So what can we do about it?
Well pretty much nothing. We really have to leave that up to the programmers. But the question I wan tot ask you is, Is it really that bad? As we can see with modern programs it is really hard to create a program. I am fairly keen on attempting to learn programming, but the best I've got yet it is html and java. Then with the advent of more intense programming languages on the net, it may stop becommin the user based application it now is.
You still haven't told us what you're going to do about it!
O.K. The area I suggest is taking the internet into a different area. With the recent widspread use of digital cameras and scanners, most people can have sonme kind of acces to putting photos etc, on the web. The next stage of this is creating a visual internet.
WHAT?
An internet where you brose through pictures. Look it is really hard to explain. Text is good and fun, but who wants to look at your personal website with information about you. NOBODY But what about a tour through your secret hideout. How about a visual tour of a house you are going to buy. The beaty of it is that it is realitively simple to do and does not require complex programming.
