Hi,
I would just like to point out a couple of mistakes in the text.
1, NO camera man was killed during the filming.......
DAVID WYNN-JONES a clapper loader was hurt in a stunt which went wrong, BEFORE Remy Julienne took over control of all the stunt driving . The scene was filmed ar the Villa De Regina, in the back garden with the directors Rolls Royce. The driver lost control and pinned the young lad against a wall. I am told the film still exits......somewhere.
The Villa De Regina is used in the film as the hide out for the gang just before they went to do "the job".
2,The driver of the caterpillar AND the coach was Fred Toms, who died last Summer of lung cancer.
3, The traffic contol operater, Louis Mansi, went on to appear in "Allo Allo", as the Gestapo side kick "Von Small Housen"
