Oh, handy, handy, handy! Wish I'd known all of this before I first ventured into France instead of finding it all out by (occasionally painful) trial and error. Just what le docteur ordered.
Your "petrol" section could perhaps mention that diesel is gazole in French. This looks enough like "gas" to be confused with the American sense of gas, or maybe LPG.
