What happened with 'The Brownie Adventure On handbook also has a section on'? It seems to go off into nowhere.

Two things to work on in this one: 1) Capitalization seems a little inconsistent throughout, things like Promise are capitalized some of the time, but not all of the time. Pick one or the other, and use throughout. Oh, and the word September should definitely be capitalized. 2) Likewise, punctuation of book titles is inconsistent -- they should all be set off with single quotes.

Hi Mizzpinky
>"The Brownie Guides were formed in 1914 and were originally called Rosebuds."
I didn't know that. If you know or can find out why they called Rosebuds, when and why it was changed to Brownies, I think that would be interesting to add.
>"The Brownie uniform had yet another makeover in september 2002"
Appears to assume knowledge of previous uniform changes, maybe add infornmation on preivious uniforms.
It may improve the layout to have the choice of uniform clothing in a list, there's more items you could add.
>"Skorts" I think more known as culottes
>"the activites in the books are" ~~> activities
>"This is somethinmes the girls' first holiday" ~~> sometimes

Culottes are different, they are like very baggy shorts
But a skort looks like a skirt at the frount, but are shorts at the back

The Brownies own page calls them Culottes

I'm not sure of the relavance of putting the old uniform in, the entry is after all being updated because that information was out of date

yes because they are culottes and part of the old uniform I'm talking about skorts which are these http://www.guidingessentials.org.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/girlguiding/25/23376 and part of the new uniform

Because the uniform has changed, it is IMO of interest to the Entry. You appear to have simply changed the date from the original Entry. Just because information on previous uniforms was not already on the original Entry doesn't mean the Entry can't be improved with that information.
The EG standards are higher now than they were when the original Entry was written and accepted, as you put it in Update Forum, it is now open to all aspects of it being updated and improved.
I found some info on uniforms through the ages here:

The oringal entry did have details of uniform in it
And this is not an entry of the History of Brownie Guides, it is about how Brownies stand today, so I still fail to see why you need details of all the uniforms through the ages. And I have not "just changed the date" in that section, as the uniform is completely different from what it was, and if you look carefully at both entries you will see that

I agree that it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to include information about the old uniforms. If we tried to do that for the US Brownie entry, that would be an entire entry in of itself -- it changes every 5 years!
Yes, the standards have been raised, but that doesn't mean that every piece of loosely relevant information needs to be included here.
If someone was interested in writing an entry about the history of Brownie Guides, there would certainly be room in the EG for them to do so, and info on historical uniforms could go there. Likewise, someone could certainly choose to write an entry about the history of Guiding uniforms in general -- that would be interesting, and there's plenty of room in the EG for that.
But neither the original entry nor this update is about the history of Brownies, nor do I see any reason why it should need to be.
