uhhh it hurts a bit to post in a forum called "germania connection", but never mind...
I could never understand, why "german" is called "german" and is not to differ from "thelanguagespokeninaustra"...*selfexplaining isn´t it*

But:
littleNero, master of useless information is an Austrian!!
Pls. mention me in the Who´s who list...
Thanxs!

I am only a member of the Musician's Guild, although I did have a hand in the founding of the Choral Society.

My main work is with the GerManiaConnection, but officially I am a subeditor. All voluntary!!! It's great fun!

Had time to read the introduction zo the GerMania connection...

Nice idea to give possibility of asking a people what to do, or to live in the hometown of a connection member...
Last month, I had to stay in Frankfurt/Main and whould have needed an advise where to stay (My support booked me in a Hotel called "Mozart"...dreadful place!!) or where to have an evening beer..

Ausnahmsweise, wie üblich (Consistently inconsistent)

I'm not German and don't live in Germany. However, I lived in and around Freising, Bayern for 16 years. I still speak fluent German. I hope that qualifies me.

I didn't get the promised email from the new owners of H2G2, so only rediscovered the site a few weeks ago.

Hello Ausnahmsweise! And no, you don't need to wear Lederhosen to be listed here smiley - smiley
I'm not sure whether TC is still around or already off to England, so it could take some days to book you in.

As to the re-opening eMail, /nobody/ has received any smiley - sadface Mark said all that he deemed necessary was to post a message to the eGroups/Yahoo board smiley - sadface

Hi Bossel!

Glad to see you're still around.

Through a series of takeovers and acquistions I no longer have the German connection at work (Software AG, Darmstadt) - but that may change.

I "met" Kasia and exchanged a few emails (in German, outside of H2G2).

I did get an email asking me if I still wanted to be a scout. That's what brought my attention to the new site.

By the way - my computer's doing cancer research too.

I'm off tomorrow morning, Bossel. Coming your way - England was later on!!!

I think you're in the list already, Ausnahmsweise - at least in the "to do" list. I shall "do" the week after I get back. Promise. Nothing stopping me now.

So this is my last posting (practically ) before logging off for a whole week. Shall be near Passau - maybe I ought to look out Jeremy.

Have fun "Random".

Wow - Passau! Seems so far away. I was there a couple of times. Rode my bike from Muenchen to Budapest years ago. Have friends in Straubing, so was there a few years ago.

AwÜ, are you a scout, or have you been one? I'm still pondering whether I should apply, but I've delayed that until some decision (or progress) about/with postings in German has been taken.

Hi Bossel,

I volunteered to become a scout a long time. I got an email from Anna just a couple of weeks ago asking if I was still willing. I registered on Yahoo and gave Anna my real name and address, etc. I think she's on vacation. So, I don't have badge yet, and I haven't seen anything on my calendar either.

I'm sure you could be a scout - with your command of English.

AwÜ
