h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I would like to find out where I can start training in the Guide ML as well as offer translating services in French or Spanish to English for the Guide. I am still moving around a lot but I will be training if possible. I would like to learn how to thread as well.

Jon-lynette, I had not realized this was here. I just was wandering around my space to take stock, and I saw you had posted here. The embassy moved a long time ago, and I had never thought to check for postings on the old page. Also, I sometimes forget that postings placed on your guide entries do not automatically show up on your home space!

So sorry. If you'd like to respond here, or to visit the Embassy where it is now, either would be great!

Lady K - why not delete the old guide entry? That way there won't be any more stray postings to it ...

Yes, indeed it's a good idea, and believe it or not, one I've been toying with since about a week after I moved the Guide. Two reasons I have stuck with it there though: one, I want to make sure anyone who might have been given the old link now has the new one. two, I am one of those people who will keep stuff forever on the very very off-chance that perhaps one day they will be needed, and that will be the day after the trash collector came to collect it. It's happened. But yes, I guess it's time, and I will take your advice.

Hmmm, does that mean this thread will disappear altogether, or just the entry?

This thread will still be here! And! - you can undelete the deleted entry if you want to!
If you click "Click here to see more Guide Entries" under the list of your entries in your personal space, and then click "Show Cancelled Entries" a list of your deleted entries will be shown. (Direct link for you, Lady K, is http://www.h2g2.com/MA140819?type=3) Just click "Uncancel" to do so.

Another thing you should do, is to click "Click here to be notified of new Conversations about this entry" in all your entries. That way postings placed on your guide entries *will* automatically show up on your home space! (Well, new threads. For old threads you need to subscribe to every single thread by clicking "Click here to subscribe to this Conversation")

lol I know! I feel like a genuine by the book stalker!

I didn't know which one was the right one! The first one I posted on, the last post had been weeks and weeks ago, so then I found out there was yet another one! I'm not sure, but I think there's even a third, and perhaps a fourth! But I really don't know. At least I know that if she exists, she knows I care!

Don't worry if she doesn't reply quickly. JLC has patches when she can't get on-line for several days. She'll be back!
