Right, a quick explanatory about how transfers work in Phantasy Phootball for our newbies.
You are strongly advised to remain subscribed to this thread. I will try and keep the chatter down to minimum, I promise. When someone bids for a replacement player, I will put the player's name down here next to a . I will then give you, the managers, a couple of days to bid for that player if you want him. Highest bid wins, as usual.
So, already, we have a panic couple of bids:

No, the bids are emailed to me, in order to remain ananoymous, you see.

And if you think this all sounds complicated, imagine the fuss we had trying to sort out the ground rules in Season 1.

I imagine the combination of football and naturaly argumentative hootooers resulted in fun and games.....

It took me three weeks to get Number Six to stop asking me to correct all the spelling.
Now hush. We're not supposed to be chattering on this thread.

How does this actually work then Master B?
Say I've got 7 million left in my budget and I want to rid myself of a player I bought for 15 million. I'm guessing that I don't get the full 15 back for the player but do I get some back according to some algorithm you've got on that computer of yours?
If so could I say make a 10 million bid for a player giving said player as part exchange?
Not that I want to make any transfers at the moment, far too early days I reckon. Just for info

Yes. You've got that pretty much correct.
Players performing well will increase in price. But managers have been unwilling to sell their star players in the past.
For example, Danny Mills in your team has scored more than the average points per week per million pounds purchase cost, so his value is currently £3.7m. If you were to sell him, you would have £10.7m in credit, some or all of which you could bid for any defender to fill Danny's place. Now, you're likely to be able to buy anyone you like for that sort of cash, but you'll find that your money won't get you much later in the season, because the League (well, me) has the right to impose minimum purchase prices on players on the 'available' lists.

Just to clarify, can we bid directly for each others' players? In the above example, could I bid 5m for Danny Mills and Orcus accept it?

Not that I want to, but just so we know....

Yes. You are free to transfer players amongst yourself for whatever you choose - Phantasy cash, other player, pints of beer. Just let me know so I can change the page.
