A Conversation for Taxis

The Apprentice

A much expanded entry on Taxis, intended to supercede the current one - which is down in the Index of Entries That Need Rewriting. The entry takes into consideration not only the venerable Black Cab of England, but also the general principles of 'official' and 'unofficial' taxis.

Admittedly the entry is still undergoing additions and edits, so isn't complete yet (like the bit at the end with the 'X').

The longest cab journey I know of was from Aberdeen to Great Yarmouth, though I think I remember reading about one man who hired one from London to Orkney (including the Ferry.). Good going Apprentice smiley - smiley I would reckon this will have no problems getting into the Edited Guide smiley - smiley Until later.....

Thanks for the feedback... However, I'm still stuck with the longest taxi jouney as I'm pretty sure it's something stupid like X thousand miles. Anyway... may have to reference the Guiness Book of Records.

Congratulations from all the Scout team! This entry has been chosen to be edited! We'll e-mail you when it's been edited... but it may be some time before it gets finished...

BTW, you'll only have a limited time to get the "Longest Cab Journey" thing added before this goes off to the subs...

What rapid turnaround... I'm thrilled, astounded and gob-smacked... simulataneously. Which is pretty disconcerting because I was already feeling quite ill.
