You know, I've never thought about that. I'm sure it would confuse me, too if the sun rose on the other side to what I'm used to. smiley - laugh

In fact, I'm having difficulties to imagine it in the first place. smiley - biggrin

Thanks for that, I learnt something new again. smiley - smiley

It was unexpected smiley - doh I mean I never thought about it before coming to the southern hemisphere and it took me months to figure it out. I suspect that northern hemisphere sun navigation is so embedded in me that I'll never quite get used to it here and if I ever do end up living in Orkney, it'll feel like home for that reason alone smiley - laugh

Thank you for reading and commenting smiley - smiley As Gnomon pointed out last week, it's difficult to figure out how many people actually read our articles. However, I don't think lack of responses would ever stop me writing stuff: I'm addicted.

With a big issue like this one I guess it'll take a while for people to read it all (if they manage in the first place).
I was so busy with *my* work that I only started reading the rest once it was published - like everybody else.
It took me another day to get back to you and leave the comment. smiley - senior

Anyway, it's an interesting column, and it made for some smiley - doh effect when reading it. smiley - biggrin
