I tried to give blood, but they wouldn't have me 
due to a recent mild infection. But I still agree that it is a good way to help.

People with common blood types are needed just as much or even more than people with rare blood types, because it gets used faster.

I've got to wait until I've seen the specialist, in a fortnight, before I can donate again too but I've already booked my session - so I'll be off on my hols with a
