Can you even imagine the carnage there would have been if the bombs had been set in Trafalgar Square yesterday or Hyde Park last Saturday?
All trials at the Old Bailey have been suspended, for the first time ever.
My family are trying to persuade me not to go to London next weekend.

Well at this moment in time everyone should be off streets to let emergancy services and anti terrorist squads do their jobs.

It does make it clear that this was primarily a terror attack on infrastructure rather than people - with the additional factor of the bus bomb just to let us know they can kill if they want.
If mass murder was their aim, there were far bigger and more suitable targets to go for.
The main thing is that we should not be afraid - what they want to do is to put doubt and fear and terror into the minds of Londoners and the British people. We need to be vigilant, we probably need to rethink our foreign policy, but most of all we need to carry on as normal as soon as we can.
