What about Germans vs. Non-Germans? I fall in neither category

(Which basically means that whatever language I speak might well be flawed)

oh that's a good point - although if you ask the Gruesome Twosome, although they are purely British (from parents-being-British) point of view, they consider themselves half and half

But we can still speak German though - nobody will understand us anyway, speaking - as they do - that weird Cologne version...

Yes, let's speak German, or else Matodemi's daughter won't understand anything. As for the language being flawed: I now often find myself searching for the German expression. Can youj believe that I couldn't remember what 'You just made my day' was in German?

I've never ever worked in an office in England, and yet being English I am often asked what things are, everyday office type things, in English. And I haven't a clue

And yes, sorry, I'd forgotten about mini-Matodemi... although I guess she learns English at school

you know perfectly well I speak German with a Dutch accent has some sort of Düsseldorf thing going on (although not so much now that he works nearer to Köln)
The Gruesomes speak quite "posh" English, apparently, but have a definite Niederrhein accent in German

Sounds interesting. I find the 'Köllner' accent quite funny. And you don't sound Dutch to me. I guess that's because I associate a Dutch accent with Rudi Carell.
