As this hasn't appeared in my space I shall be posting it in my space as an article as well. Which is what I should have done Monday, if I had guessed it wasn't going to appear in my space again.
In future this column will appear in my space weekly. I cannot get this done to the new deadline of Sunday mid-day as I spend my weekends with my family. So I shall be much happier to return to the Monday deadline. As I guideml my own stuff to make life easier for tptb, I don't see why I should lose my weekend.

Oh no that means it there twice now!
I don't want to be awkward but I write during the week and not the weekend. I know you are picking this up on short notice and its probebly chaotic for you. I didn't want to add to that with demands and stroppyness so thought I would just take a back seat for now.

Kaz we don't want to lose science matters but you do have 2 weeks to prepare your article, we can come to arrangments about delivering your article, as you kindly send it already ML'd it shouldn't be a problem, we really don't want to lose your work but you must also realise Awix and I don't have the same amount time to devote to the Post as Shazz does, that's why we've had to make it a Sunday deadline.
Do you want me to remove the Post copy of SM from your space?

I used to write a weekly column every Monday, its nothing to do with the amount of time to write it. New Scientist is delivered Thursdays, so I read it and finish off writing on the Monday, I maybe able to do it for the Friday, but I am often busy Fridays.
As I guideml my own article, I don't understand why you need from Sunday midday to work on it, does it really need that much work?
I would prefer to stick to a weekly column which is relevent and not out of date, as soon as I have finished it on Monday it can go up straight away the same day instead of waiting around to be worked on.

The Sunday deadline applicable to all posters, we can accomodate researchers who need extra time, as I have said we are willing to accomodate you as you already ML you work, but if you feel you don't want your work to appear in the Post anymore I can't stop you withdrawing

Just to reiterate what Reefy said: we're not totally inflexible on the deadline. If you can get your column to us by 6pm on the Monday we will be happy to use it.
As I said to you previously, if people tell us they have a serious problem with the Sunday deadline, we will try to find a workaround.
thanks

I think due to it being a very bad week, I was somewhat over-sensitive. This was before today happened, my husband works across from Liverpool St Station, so it was a bit close to home. So what with today and the very bad week with very bad news before that, I need to take a few days away.
I am obviously over-reacting and so long as you are okay with it, it would be great to come to an arrangement. I don't want to ask too much though and I also don't want to take my worries out on you guys either, as you do not deserve it.
So apologies from me, for my displaced angst.
I shall come back next week ready to go and having had a restful weekend to sort my head out. I shall be in a much better mood. Unless of course someone dies or we get more bombs during the week, in which case I may just be a gibbering wreak.
guys. Talk next week about this.

Thankyou
shall now chill and be ready to go for the next issue without stroppyness, maybe I should write someone truthful yet funny about stroppyness?

I'd read it, I can give you hints as well being a stroppy cow myself and the mother of the next generation of stroppy cows
