A Conversation for Calliope Stage
The opening of the stage
Ottox Started conversation Jan 23, 2001
* The h2g2 Choir enters the stage *
* some confusion, as the choir hasn't got a conductor yet *
* more confusion - it seems that the only choir member here is Ottox. How will he perform all by himself *
* he begins to sing the old Eric Carmen song, then realises that it wasn't what they were supposed to sing *
* all present members of the choir starts to sing. A Latin text on the Greek stage *
O Fortuna, velut Luna
statu variabilis,
semper crescis aut decrescis
vita detestabilis,
nunc obdurat et tunc curat
ludo mentis aciem,
egestatem, potestatem
dissolvit ut glaciem.
Just the right thing for a joyful opening of the stage!

* the missing conductor glares at Dragonfly. "I hope not" he says. "Now, will you please sing the right text instead of doing that kind of improvising!" *
* Ottox sings... *
Sors salutis et virtutis
michi nunc contraria
est affectus et defectus
semper in angaria.
Hac in hora sine mora
corde pulsum tangite;
quod per sortem sternit fortem,
mecum omnes plangite!

Our mum she's so houseproud,
