All pictures appear to be (so) naturalistic, even if it is mixed with humor and surrealism.
Why is that?
They all seem to circle within a small frame of how to draw,
although I see that people put a lot of effort in what they created.

The pictures were never intended to display different types of artistic style. They were mostly created to illustrate specific guide articles. Then those ones were put together on this page because they had something to do with arts, eg painting, pottery, sculpture, embroidery.
In addition there were only a few in-house artists. Now there are unpaid community artists but they are expected to stick vaguely to the house style. There will be some images in other picture categories which employ different artistic styles although their subject matter is not "art".
