Vikings didn't have horns on their helmets!!!
As a re-enactor I spend a lot of time making sure the public know this, and I know the BBC know this, so please please can we have a proper picture of a viking?

In this case the ALT text description is somewhat misleading. I think it wasn't so much intended to be a viking as a depiction of the god Odin/Woden (see A625619 for its original setting). However, even then it's still wrong (a floppy hat would be better). But that's what you get round here.
