OK I see. You are trying to use pictures while still in GuideML mode. When you edit your page you need to look for some options underneath the main text entry area. These say something like "plain text" and "Guide-ML". You need to switch to GuideML and apply that to the page. It should automatically add these tags to the text. If it doesn't then you may have to do it manually but you don't want to have more than one set 
and you need to change modes anyway as you can't just type the tags in and have it work.

You can always skip guide ml for now!
A Year later, I still have not done it and have not missed it either
