What, exactly, is the means of communication between the immaterial soul and the material body? Is it possible, in principle, to construct a device which would detect the means of communication between the immaterial soul and the material body? If it is not possible, then where precisely is the organ of reception in the physical body which is able to detect the communications from the immaterial soul? If it is possible, then can the soul truly be described as immaterial?

Others have asked similar questions for generations, of course. I recently came across one of those here.
