I love pies. I'm currently developing a pie problem that involves the canteen's 'meal deal'.

(Not a fruit pie though. They are wrong).

what is wrong about fruit pie??

It's that mix of sweet and savoury...makes me nervous. In fact any sweet pastry. I like food to be in rigid categories. And cooked fruit makes me uneasy as well.

there are some mixes of sweet and savoury that i absolutely love (pie is one of them) cranberry sauce and turkey, pork chops and applesauce.

My daughter, however, can't eat cooked apples due to an unfortunate incident.

Ah now that you mention cranberry sauce, I can see a lack of consistency in my reasoning, which distresses me.

nope. More pie for the rest of us, is the way i see it.

Don't let inconsistency distress you. It's what makes us human, as far as i can tell. I'm consistently inconsistent.
