Well, I enjoyed reading it, anyway, even though I am officially the world's worst player of drinking games (I can never remember the rules...). Hopefully entries like this will change all that...
One small point... The 'Beer as Punishment' section might be better as a completely separate entry; listing the two drinking games is great, and is amusing in itself. The mock-psychological section is unnecessary, IMHO. It might make the entry a little over-long.
I hope that this helps...

This is a good article about two great games, which involve much beer.
I agree that you should restrict the article to the drinking games, and leave off the bit about using other drinks and the bit about beer as punishment.
The bits about the games are strongly written and stand up on their own.
I agree that the two games fit nicely together into one article, but it may be that those at the Towers feel differently, and you may find your article becoming two (eg 'The Rose - A drinking game' and... ummm... 'The drinking game - A drinking game'). Or something.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies. I'll probably delete the mock-psycology bit... I tend to get overeager when I write...
If the powers that be feels the article should be cut in two, I guess they are free to do that. However, I feel they fit nicely together as well... Anyhow, it's their material now. They can do with it as they please.. can't they?
JAR, in appreciation

They probably wont cut it in two after I said all that!
I'm going to give the Drinking Game a try on Friday night.

I think this entry should be considered an update to the existing entry on drinking games at http://www.h2g2.com/A413993.
As we are not accepting updates to the guide via peer review, this thread should be moved to under that entry.
However... I'm not totally sure - I invite comments from other scouts who may be reading this to agree or disagree...

No, it's a very good question.. I had a hard time finding it myself, but I think there has been quite a few drinking games described, and the two my entry is on is quite similar to some of the ones described in the article you mentioned. Allthough none of my words were used, my entry is simply variations over the games in the entry. If you check the "researchers" coloumn, you'll find my name, so I got the credit, allthough I wasn't really used... It would have been nice if there was a crosslinking though..

Then you'd be happy to move this forum to the sinbin? Or would you prefer it be moved to the drinking games entry?

hmm - the drinking games entry was removed for a copyright violation apparently, so this entry is now from that point of view...

That's the sound of your entry being approved by the editors, and about to make it into the edited guide - where "about to" means it might actually take a little while yet! Well Done!
Any questions - drop me a line here - and I'll be happy to answer them. In the meantime - cheers!
Congratulations!

Congrats! I would just like to inform you that I will be Sub-Editing this Article for inclusion in the Edited Guide. It looks wonderful. I am looking forward to getting it processed!
Your article is the first in a bathc of four. I will probably start it in the next few days, so make any final changes to it (no major ones, please), and I will grab the code from the page as it stands to be sure that it is your final version. I will post another message to say when I have done that.
Key: Complain about this post
