I think not. The two tales are in direct juxaposition to one another.
Geez, what a mind you have! All filled with interesting characters, replete with chastity belts and other really neat hardware. You've even managed to include social commentary( The Whore of B.'s definition of marraige). I like it.

Damn. I really need to rephrase that bit about "window dressing." The first part is all background for the second part, so not really "window dressing." Oh well.
Yes, I'm proud of the giant, stinky, memory-erasing chastity belt.
