well, since I didn't get any feedback, I compromised....I took the info from the hacker jeopardy footnote and included it in the body so I would not have too many footnotes. I put the others back in as footnotes so that the first two paragraphs (especially the second one) would be easier to read.

What else do I need to do to get a scout to look this over and see if it is worth making an entry in the edited guide?

Very much! There's been a lot of discussion amongst the scouts as to the way 'scouting' works. Obviously I have been helping you with this entry more than anyone else so by rights I should coose this as my monthly entry. However that doesn't mean I will or that I have to.


I'd like to make it clear that any other scout who wishes to choose this is perfectly welcome to.

thanks. I revised so that it looks like the subject line of this message. (I want to distinguish between the convention and my other defcon entry, the military term)

This is annoyingly nitpicky but here is a suggestion anyway; could you change the entry's title from "AXXXXXX - defcon convention" to just "Defcon Convention", thanx!

Congratulations you made it! You're entry has been discussed and accepted by the Scouts and has now entered the second part of the edititorial proccess. Or to finish off the thread in the official manner...
