I think the rules of BBC and common decency should rule out mucky words.

Hello Vestboy. You've been around h2g2 a long time, so you should know by now that this entry is not suitable for the Edited Guide. Can you please remove it from Peer Review?

Oops! Sorry. I thought this was in Peer REview.
Are you looking for help in writing this entry about the game? If so, the Writing Workshop is probably the best place to come. Or do you just want to play the game. If that's the case, why not post to askh2g2 with a link to your entry?

See, Gnomon, anyone can make a mistake. No matter how long they have been around!
I'll take your advice about the ASK h2g2 path, thanks.
I'm still unsure of how to withdraw somwthing without losing the entry though. Help would be appreciated.

Why is it not suitable for the Edited Guide, compared to other similar Edited Guide entries by the same author?

I have no intention of comparing this with other Edited Entries by the same author. I am merely considering it on its own merits.

Okay, let me rephrase the question.
"You've been around h2g2 a long time, so you should know by now that this entry is not suitable for the Edited Guide."
Why should Vestboy "know" this, when he has written other, similar entries which have been accepted for the Edited Guide? It seems rather harsh of you to state categorically, without consulting anyone else, that this entry is unacceptable.

This is rather academic since the entry was not in Peer Review. But if it had been in Peer Review I would have been justified in what I said. This is not a description of an existing game. It is the creation of a new game, with a call for people to play the game.
The Writing Guidelines are not difficult to understand. They make it clear that this is not the sort of thing we are looking for. I see no need for me to consult, or why I should be considered harsh for pointing this out.

D'oh!
When I saw there were new entries I thought people had started playing - especially as this isn't in either area now!
To be honest I don't really mind if it doesn't get to the edited bit of the guide... for a while. When people have played it we can maybe do a separate guide entry describing this fun and intellectually stimulating game.
It's easier than soduko or sudoku or however it's spelt and it's still got numbers in it!
Key: Complain about this post
