I really thought my answer was correct, too. The US doesn't date the currency by the year of printing. It's dated by the year the design was made, so years are skipped regularly. I've been searching the net trying to prove that 1989 wasn't a design year, without success so far.
Looks like we are having a regular pity party, here.

As the question said 1900 I assumed that Greebo meant the year 1900. Not 1990 as the winning answer used. Not a good thing to assume, I know. Bad ox. Anyway, for the heck of it, here's what it would have been worth...

Greebo, I hate to say this, but...
sometimes I think, that you don't read th whole thread. There's so often questions that you ignore, which I think is a shame. 
The answer given by HollePolle the 4th of January was indeed a very good answer, but - it wasn't the correct answer to your question!
That was given by me. I'm sure HollePolle's answer was the one you wanted, but then your question was wrong!
