After you have given your answers... why not sit back and talk about how you come to your conclussions... or indeed moan at how hard the question was... ot just praise Greebo up for a splendid idea!!! ~grin~

Greebo, dear Greebo:
Are you staggering the question times so that all time zones have equal opportunity?

Hmmm.
What are you suggesting?
You might find me swimming around online at almost any time day or night, but usually not for very long.
What about a preset question time then Greebo? Then it would be first off the blocks.

Just a thought. I'm not complaining, I'm doing better than I expected, actually.
*Admits to herself she is v v competitive, too!)

I'm 5 hours behind you Brits, as I'm an East Coast gal. So I guess this game will have to be part skill, part chance of being on at the right time. If I get up in the middle of the night to get online, my RL hubby will have me dragged away by the men in the white coats. (he-he-ha-ha-ho-ho). He just doesn't understand... ~sigh~

Hi.. ~grin~
Me has been pondering this problem about posting the questions... and when me should do it... you know time zones and things... so me figuered to do it at odd times during the day... so that everyone should hopefully get a chance of getting in their first... if me posted it at the same time every day... then researchers living in England will proberly have a better chance...
If you can think of a better way of putting them on... then tell me... and me will consider it... ~grin~

I think random times are best. With so many contestants signed up, it spreads out the opportunities to answer.

That sounds fair, but surely your RL hubby might complain about getting up in the middle of the night to ask silly questions?
Only other way is to anounce the GMT in advance and then start the race to find the answer.

Dear Greebo,
On behalf of all the contestants may I present you with this:

Can I make an appeal? I'd like an extra bonus point for the most entertaining answer so far. Look through the thread. Lots of people agree.

Ok Greebo, I'm sorry but the answer to Sept. 19th's question is ALL THE WAY!! Once you're in the woods, you've run all of the way INTO the woods. Like I said before, you're either IN the woods, or out of the woods. If I pour beer into a glass, it doesn't run halfway into the glass, it runs all of the way into the glass.

GreeboTCat Posted Sep 20, 2000
Yes but beer in a glass has no where else to go... so remains in the glass... whilst if me was running into the woods... me would be able to run out as well.. so after running to the middle of the woods then me would be running out of the woods the rest of the way... see... ~grin~

See my posting at the question. You would ALREADY have run all of the way into the woods, even though you might be running out afterwards.
DISCUSS THE QUESTIONS!!
GreeboTCat Posted Sep 21, 2000
But you could only run half way into the woods before you would be running out again... If you ran all the way into the woods... without running out again... then the woods would be infinately big... which is impossible...
