Well if its more equitorial than polar, then we're heading for the tropics which is where the deserts are. Could this be a link into the word back up the thread "lick" - Desert / Dessert
Caution: New question approaching

Of course not J!
Cant help with more ideas tho!
Maybe I should read the backlog to find out what the question is!

I wouldn't worry St J, If "Arctic Roll" isn't the answer then I'm stumped as well.

My toes are 250m above sea level and 19km from the coast
My head gets 30m of snow per annum

Bravo GD... were my clues too cryptic?
Anyhow
FYI
Franz Josef Glacier
aka
Ka Koimata o Hinehukatere
the tears of the Avalanche Girl
latitude 43.5 degrees south
longitude 169 degrees west of Greenwich
directly opposite the NW corner of Spain
Only 7,000 yrs old
12km long
advancing at 1.5m per day,
10 times faster than the average valley glacier
Oh dear it looks like me again
GreyDesk Posted Apr 13, 2002
No the clues weren't that cryptic. I think we got there by brute force rather than by subtle intuition
Anyway, I know your hearts have all sunk now that you know that I am setting this next question. Well as a change from football and obscure art questions, I'll ask you something simple.
How long is my hair?
Oh dear it looks like me again
Lighthousegirl - back on board Posted Apr 13, 2002
What unit of measure would you like us to use?
mm or smaller?
And do you mean the hair on your head or your face?
Oh dear it looks like me again
GreyDesk Posted Apr 13, 2002
There is a short retort to comments like that, but I won't say it
I want measurements to the millimetre.
To help anyone who has not met me IRL, there are photos of me linked from the "London 2002" page (A692552)(hint - try Parrferris' collection). I am the large skinhead wearing the "Police State Do No Cross" t-shirt.
Oh dear it looks like me again

Assuming head hair
I would go soemwhat different to six7's and opt for about 50mm (even if you have been growing it I think we are at under 1cm here)
