Adding two lines to a limerick will, hopefully, give you more scope to 'direct' a limerick. Obviously, with this system, ending a limerick doesn't automatically mean you'll start the next one.
So to get the ball rolling :
There was a new grocer in Kent (1)
Who thought his bananas were bent (2)
