Forgive the Shadows

Forgive the shadow that lurks nearby

Cannot you here the shadows cry?

Cannot you see the pain therein?

Don't you think that this prejudice is sin?

Shadows lurking out of light

Out of love and out of sight

Creeping round without a sound

Hiding under tables they be

Wont you look down and see?

They run in fear from you and I

Not wanting to be cursed they sigh

And slither through the ground in dust

Following other shadows cursed.
