Yes, there was a big shift from the baroque concertos to the big Romantic concertos of the 19th c. I'll reword that sentence as you suggest.

I've now reworded that sentence about world-class players.

What about the other part of post 16? Grove says he was christened Theophilus rather than Gottlieb.

I've reworded the footnote. See what you think.

It's impossible to know whether they used Gottlieb or Theophilus at home, but if Pergmayr used Joannes Theophilus as his name it is equally (at least) likely to have been Theophilus that the Mozarts used.

OK, I've removed the reference to Gottlieb and just left it at Theophilus, since that is documented.
I've also reworded the footnote slightly at Pastey's request to cover the various different ways in which the midi file may play.

Grand. How about for Footnote 2
You may have to press the Back button to return to this page (or, to this Entry) after the music has played.
Amadeus is of course the Latinisation, of which Amadé would be a Frenchification and Amadè would be an abbreviated Italian version; according to Grove 'Mozart sometimes preferred the Latin form, Amadeus, more often Amadè, Amadé or the Italian Amadeo, and occasionally the German Gottlieb.' Why not heap all that in? Do you have a specially reliable source showing that Amadé was the only one he signed his name with?

I've reworded the "back button" footnote in line with your suggestion.
I've changed the Amadé footnote back to closer to my original version:
- He was Amadè rather than Amadé, and this is an Italianised version of Theophilus/Gottlieb rather than a Latinised one.
- His baptismal cert gives the name as Theophilus but his father called him Gottlieb in a letter announcing the birth, so it reasonable to mention both names.
