Just out of interest, two things about Finsbury Park:
1. Now that Oyster Cards exist, you can simply wander past the ticket booth without being stopped, as the Oyster Card readers are on the walls of the tunnel just after the Station Place entrance ticket booth.
2. For changing northbound to southbound (or vice versa), there are two routes. The first is to follow the signs. An alternative route is via the 'British Rail' spiral staircases that lead up to the British Rail subway. Go up one of these, turn right if you can, and if not (due to a dead end) turn left. Keep going until you encounter the other spiral staircase on the same side of the subway, and descend to the platform.

Oh and the Chesham branch is *not* the only single track tube line - the Mill Hill East branch is one as well.
