The Hammersmith & City Line:
- By far the worst line on the entire network. The trains are slow, infrequent, and always stop in a tunnel at least once between Paddington and Baker Street ( due to the Edgeware Road Black Hole effect). Never use any part of this line if you can possibly avoid it.
NOTE: Some people may claim that the Circle Line is worse than the H&C, but at least with the Circle you can always avoid it by catching other lines. If you travel out West on the H&C, you can't do this.
- The trains never match the frequency shown on the timetables. If you try to travel on the H&C in the evening, be prepared for a possible wait of 30 minutes. (And while you are waiting, sit and watch as at least 3 trains go past in the opposite direction.)
