I'd just like to ask for a little applause for a guy who works in the ticket office at West Ealing. I don't know his name, he's this really nice black guy. Always polite and friendly, I should imagine that it's not always a pleasant job having to tell people that our train service is so crap that when they say "Change at Paddington" they really mean change onto a bus, or car or anything whatsoever, so long as it's not another train. So whoever you are at West Ealing, thank-you for always being pleasant, and friendly.

His name is Nolan, and has since moved on from West Ealing's ticket office and can now be found at the Acton Main Line ticket office Monday to Saturday.
Pop over and say hello. He's a diamond geezer!
