I think, given the circumstances, we can let you off this week. We really do need some more cartoonists, though - do you know anyone in the Community artists who might be persuaded?

The Community Artists are very sparsely populated anyway smiley - laugh but I can ask around.

I could probably throw something together if you're looking for the odd one off cartoon/comic... If you're interested just give me a random topic and I'll oblige smiley - biggrin

That would be a wonderful idea. It's always great to have cartoons in The Post, as it's the only bit of the site where you can have them.

Funnily enough, I have thought of that. Email me any ideas you have along those lines and I'll see what I can do smiley - smiley

Psssht.

The way to build suspense, me dear, is to avoid replying to postings that say something like 'Email me any ideas you have along those lines and I'll see what I can do'. That way, anyone reading thinks you're working on something really secretive and immense. You've blown it now smiley - tongueout

I'm busy updating the Artists' pages, and under "What do the artists do?" have included the following paragraph:

Though The Post's cartoonists are often Community Artists as well, it's not a requirement. If you would like to submit a cartoon for inclusion in The Post, contact the Post Team to discuss technical specifications, deadlines, and other details.

Hopefully that will throw some more business your way. smiley - smiley

You're a real dynamo smiley - biggrin

Can you get something together for '80 Worlds' for The Post, do you think? I'd really love to help to get it moving along.

Yes - I think we can get that one off the ground soon. Maybe not by the next issue, but soon. smiley - smiley (I'll have a full week of boring seminars in which to doodle smiley - whistle)

Oh, no, I didn't mean that! You have enough doodling to keep you occupied with AG, I'm sure. I meant an appeal for contributors; an outline of the project and what people need to do to get involved. It's the kind of 'community-wide' idea I like to use as one of my FP picks, so it may help to get it off the ground smiley - smiley

smiley - ok I wasn't planning on doing it all by myself smiley - laugh

I've already got contributions from King Bomba and Tavaron, I figured I'd do one of my own and then write it up, and you could have something to start with smiley - winkeye

I'm keen. You've seen the standard of my artwork, but I think I can be creative enough - if not necessary proficient enough! - to muck in. It's always good to do something you think you can't do, you know? Stretch a little, perhaps smiley - winkeye
