Rave Pictures
Created | Updated May 11, 2005
Rave Pictures are different from 'regular' pictures in the respect that when you take a Rave Picture you are capturing (or at least attempting to capture) the essence of the rave. That essence being a combination of many things. Mostly the vibe, or the general all around feeling of oneness with the dj and the other attendees, but things like paying attention to lighting and fog (if present) are very important as well. And of course...timing is of the essence. It does you absolutely no good to take a picture of a dj when the intelligent lighting just happens to be pointing your way at the moment.
For now let me just say that I have some experience in the subject. I have been a party kid since about 1995 or 96 (memory is a little fuzzy around that time...hehe). Anyway, it's now 2005 and I am still going strong. In fact since March 2003 I have had a digital camera and started up a little website called DigiRaver.com. Housed on this website are photos from raves in the San Francisco, California, USA bay area between March 2003 and today (well, we don't have anything from May yet...).
We have over 10,000 pictures which will keep the average person busy for quite some time but advertising my website is NOT the reason that I am posting this entry. I am posting this entry because (until h2g2 begins to allow pictures to be posted in entries) I think there should be one centeral location that people around the world should be able to go to find Rave Pictures for their location. And so...please get some conversations going to help me get some links or anything else anybody has to say about the subject of Rave Pictures so that together we can make this guide entry really stand out.
More soon...
