I am certain that when a British pensioner picks up their pension book on retirement, they are also given a government issue gyroscope. Now many people scoff at this theory, but here is the proof.
How slow do pensioners ride on pushbikes? The only possible way that they could teeter along at that speed (or apparent lack thereof) would be that they are held "Errect" by the wonders of the government issue gyroscope. Where are all the gyroscopes in the shops? You can't ever find one because of the ever growing pensioner population. Look what the wonders of modern medicine have achieved - a national gyroscope shortage.
