It's not as hard to get a drink on Sunday in Houston as Talene leads one to believe. Bars are open and wine and beer are available in groceries.

The Sunday drinking thing is concerning hard liquor only -- you can't buy vodka at the store, but you can get a beer just about anywhere. And this isn't a Houston thing, it's a Texas "Blue Laws" thing.

Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I was thinking back to earlier days when they used to actually cover the alcohol section of the grocery store in these big drape cloths on Sundays and you couldn't even buy a beer or a bottle of wine. I don't drink, so I never noticed when that changed.
