A Conversation for Diary of the 'Troubles'

A Hooligan by any other name...

I was sad to see the footage on the news of the events in Northern Ireland. It wasn't really the Orangemen who were causing the violence. All the people who seemed to be film throwing petrol bombs at the police were teenagers. The sort of kids that in 90's England would take up joy riding. Young thugs basically. And these kids are egged on by the odd terrorist. It seems through the news reals that the quickest way to stop the July violence would be to impose a curfew on these teenage hooligans, not on the innocent people trying to get by with their life over there.
