Hi. I have been on the site for a while, looking all over for answers... I now feel I should help others by directing them to answers of thier own questions. (In short i'd like to move to a guru status). thanks. dan (Researcher 201754).

Hi Researcher 201754,
You haven't been here long,so you'll need to do a lot of exploring before then! h2g2 Gurus are Researchers that know the site inside out and upside down. 
In the meantime, join in as many of the popular conversations as you can, talk to the existing Gurus get a feel for the role. 
Update your Personal Space, chose a name, and get to know the site.
Don't forget to read through the <./>DontPanic-FAQ</.>, as you'll need to know it really well.
